Just arrived at some big decisions regarding my future, or perhaps opened up the doors to making some. It’s nerve-wracking but exciting and liberating. A huge weight is off my shoulders and it feels great.

My books came in the mail today! I’m definitely more excited about this than I should be, but they were so quick considering they’ve come from so far away. I got:

  • Fight Club by Chuck Palaniuk. I’ve been wanting to read this for ages and they had it so cheap online;
  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I’ve heard good things about it and it’s an angsty coming-of-age novel… definitely up my alley;
  • We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver;
  • The Paris Wife by Paula McLain;
  • Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. I’m a bit of a history nut and Dad and I have always been keen on reading it, really to understand - or at least try to - what was going through his mind and how he tried to justify it at the time;
  • The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I started this one as soon as I got it. I’ve only gotten past the foreword and four pages in and I can tell I’m going to love it.

I’m still waiting on a couple, but needless to say I’m set for a damn good while. I also found this excellent new tea type today - Assam (?) - so I’m going to make some of that then retreat into my room and read forever. Byes.

I finally got my provisional license! So excited!

Shit fuck balls I’m going to the Avengers premier tonight

Saw The Hunger Games the other day

and was totally blown away. So fucking awesome. I wanted to read the books first because I’m a ~book snob~ and the films are never quite as good, but whatever.

Picked them up today though for a bargain and noticed later that Stephanie Meyer had been quoted on the covers of each of the books… “The Hunger Games is amazing”.

Procrastination, confusion, procrastination… fuck me, I’m doomed. It’s over. Going to fail my first ever assessment for my history course. It’s so fucking boring though, I can’t help it. It’s quarter to eleven and I’m dying. Please send help and cookies.

Sometimes I feel like cramming my materialistic life into a small suitcase and catching a train to the middle of nowhere.
